Pollution / AETC

It is mandatory for every vehicle owner to carry a valid Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC) and maintain the vehicle in such a condition so as to make it compliant with the prescribed emission norms.

Any vehicle on the road needs to have a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate. The vehicle can be checked and a PUC obtained from an Auto Emission Testing Centre (AETC).

Every motor vehicle shall be constructed and maintained so as to conform to noise standards as indicated in the table below, and these Standards shall be tested as per Indian Standards IS : 3028-1998.
